Flytoget, operator of the high-speed shuttle from Oslo to Oslo-Gardermoen Airport (OSL), wanted to update its trains manufactured in the 90s. They contracted CAF to manufacture a completely new train for its system.

CAF's Oaris platform was adapted to the Nordic climate and local clearance needs: Flytoget also had its own vision of what it needed in terms of user experience and hired a British consultancy to lead the commercial aspects of the project.

On the other hand, CAF needed a partner in whom to place the trust of industrial interior design. After a conceptual and detailed joint work with Flytoget, an interior design that met their expectations emerged, with very innovative solutions in terms of the use of materials selected specifically for this project. Those finishes ended up generating a strong identity of their own.
